Frequently Asked Questions
It's US$ 55 per mini buggy, and each buggy seats two people — so a couple pays about US$ 28 each. The park entrance fee isn't included: that's S/ 11 per adult (16 and over) and S/ 3 per child aged 6 to 15, paid in cash or card at the SERNANP gate on the way in. Booking here costs less than GetYourGuide or Viator.
The sunset departure leaves at 3:15 p.m. from our office in Paracas and you're back around 6:15 p.m.. It's the only run of the day that reaches Red Beach while the light is low, which is when the red sand actually looks red rather than washed out.
The 2-hour tour covers Yumaque Beach, the Isthmus viewpoint and Red Beach. The 3-hour adds La Catedral with a 20-minute stop, gives you longer at every viewpoint, and is timed to reach Red Beach at sunset. If Paracas is a one-shot stop on your trip, take the 3-hour.
The wind drops, the light turns warm, and Red Beach shows its deepest color. Driving gets you right down to the shoreline — the sunset walking tours stop at the clifftop viewpoints and look at it from above. It's the difference between seeing Red Beach and standing on it.
You drive. Each buggy takes two people and you can swap seats along the way. Drivers must be 18 or over and we'll ask for photo ID. No driver's license and no off-road experience needed — they're automatic, and we run a short briefing before we set off.
Yes. Every mini buggy tour goes out with a bilingual Spanish–English guide who leads the convoy and explains at each stop. Travelling with a group that speaks another language? Tell us when you book and we'll see what we can arrange.
We start in the new Paracas area and head into the National Reserve. We stop at La Catedral for 20 minutes, then Yumaque Beach, the Isthmus viewpoint, and Red Beach — the red-sand beach the peninsula is known for. Then back to where we started.
A windbreaker, genuinely — the sea breeze on the peninsula is stronger than people expect and it gets cold once the sun drops. Plus a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a camera. Wear closed shoes. Don't skip the jacket because it was warm in town.
Yes, as passengers from age 6 with an adult. Drivers have to be 18 or over. Each buggy holds two people, so one adult plus one child fills a whole buggy.
Everyone drives in single file behind the guide, who sets the pace. No overtaking, no racing, and no leaving the marked route. That's a SERNANP rule to protect the Reserve, and it's what keeps the tour safe on loose ground.
Paracas is windy by nature and the tour runs anyway. We only cancel if SERNANP closes the Reserve, and then we reschedule free or refund you in full. We'll message you on WhatsApp as soon as we know.
