Frequently Asked Questions
US$ 27 per scooter for six hours, and the scooter takes two riders. Fuel isn't included and neither is the park entrance fee (S/ 11 per adult, S/ 3 per child aged 6 to 15). It's the cheapest way to see the whole peninsula on your own schedule.
On a scooter, yes. Unlike mini buggies — which have to travel in a guided convoy — scooters are rented for independent use. You pick the route and how long you linger at each beach. We send you a digital map on WhatsApp showing the roads you're allowed to use.
Riders must be 19 or over and we'll ask for ID. You do need previous riding experience: the Reserve has gravel stretches and strong crosswinds, so this isn't the place to learn.
The map covers the Interpretation Center, the Flamingo viewpoint, La Catedral and Supay Beach, Yumaque Beach, the Isthmus viewpoint, Red Beach, La Mina Beach, Lagunilla Beach and the Julio C. Tello Museum. Six hours is comfortable for all of it if you start early.
When we hand over the scooter we send you a digital map on WhatsApp with the route and every stop marked, so you can open it on your phone. It shows the permitted roads inside the Reserve and the order that saves you backtracking.
Helmets yes, fuel no. The scooter comes with a full tank and has to come back full — use REGULAR grade. There are no gas stations inside the Reserve, so fill up before you go in.
Call or WhatsApp us at +51 924 785 030 and we'll come to you. Worth knowing: phone signal inside the Reserve is patchy. If you've got no bars, head toward the Isthmus or the main road, where coverage picks up.
Sunglasses are non-negotiable — between the wind and the sand you'll need them. Also a windbreaker, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water and closed shoes. In winter bring something warm: the peninsula runs noticeably colder than the town.
Scooter if you want freedom and a full day: six hours, your own pace, more stops, lower price per vehicle. Mini buggy if you'd rather have a guide explaining things, or if you've never ridden a motorbike. The buggy also runs the sunset slot at Red Beach with a guide.
